Comedian Julius Agwu Is The Pastor In Duncan Mighty’s Wedding Ceremony! [PHOTOS]

Julius Agwu was the pastor in Duncan Mighty’s wedding, but it was all fun for a new music video that features the comedian.

Few weeks back, there were allegations that the actress underwent a plastic surgery, but she neither replied her critics or made a press statement regarding or debunking the allegations. There was pandemonium at the University of Benin today Monday December 9th as members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, (ASUU) UNIBEN chapter disrupted an ongoing lecture at the Faculty of Law at the university.

Some UNIBEN lecturers resumed last week following the Federal Government’s directive to resume work and as one lecturer gathered his students to begin his class, The Union members stormed the lecture room and stopped it.

Detectives at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, Lagos, western Nigeria have intensified efforts to recover all the stolen babies allegedly bought by an Onitsha-based human trafficker who was arrested in Lagos last Monday for purchasing a stolen two-year old baby.

This followed the confessional statement made by the trafficker, Mrs. Grace Onye, 52. Onye told the police that she specialises in the illegal business of buying babies in Lagos for sale to those who required them.

In her confession, she admitted that it was not her first time of coming to Lagos to buy babies, adding that she had beencoming to Lagos to buy babies in the past three years. She told the police that she sold all the babies to those in need, especially barren women.

ride and Groom narrowly escape death while going for Honeymoon

A newly wed couple narrowly escaped death on Saturday in an auto crash while on their way from their wedding reception to their honey moon destination.
PUNCH reports thus:

"The accident involving a NNPC tanker with number plate XG 321 MKA, a cargo truck and two saloon cars happened at about 4: 45pm on Saturday, close to the Otedola bridge, Alausa, on Lagos/Ibadan Expressway.

Our reporter who witnessed the accident said the NNPC truck, while descending the slop from Alausa at top speed, could not hold its break. It then ran into the first car and squashed the second one against the cargo truck.

The bride and her husband were said to have jumped out of their car.

Dr Sid and Simi Osomo stepped out together back in the summer and got engaged on August while on vacation in Europe. RML wishes them the best as their life together starts and they begin to plan for a 2014 wedding after their introduction ceremony today.

There was anxiety over the state of health of a teacher at the Osogbo Grammar School, Osun State, identified simply as Mr. Olamoyegun, on Thursday as a pupil of the Government Technical College in the town attacked him with a machete
Although what led to the attack on the teacher was still sketchy, our correspondent, however, gathered that the pupil pulled a surprise attack on the teacher, making it impossible for him to defend himself.
Some pupils of the OGS told our correspondent that the attacker, whose name had yet to be identified, attacked the teacher from the back and inflicted a deep cut on his head with the cutlass.
One of the OGS pupils, whose name is withheld for security purpose, said, “I think the person that attacked Mr. Olamoyegun is a cultist. That is what everybody is saying here because he just sneaked behind our teacher and attacked him with the cutlass in his hand. He did not give Mr. Olamoyegun the chance to defend himself.
“Now, everybody is worried because nobody knows whether our teacher survived the attack.”
PUNCH Metro, however, learnt that Olamoyegun was rushed to the Government House Clinic from where he was referred to the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital, Osogbo.
Some of his colleagues in the school said he had been responding to treatment.
But when the Principal of Osogbo Grammar School, Mr. A. O. Akinlusi, was contacted on the telephone, he declined comment.

The University of Ibadan has pulled out of the ASUU strike and has announced that academic activities would resume on the 4th of January, 2014.
This decision was announced by the Governing Council of the institution and was based on the directives of the Committee of Pro-Chancellors of Federal Universities and the National Universities Commission.

A cross-section of members of the academic community, joined by members of civil society organisations, booed one the officiating clergymen, during the lying-in-state ceremony held for late former President of the Academic staff Union of Universities, Prof. Festus Iyayi, which held on Friday, at the Akin Deko main auditorium of the University of Benin.

Rev. Fr. Andrew Obiyan, one of the seven officiating priests at the ceremony, which was attended by a record that continued to swell as the programme wore on, drew the ire of the virtually all in attendance, when he veered of his main business, to tell ASUU about having a rethink about their over five month-old strike.

The priest said many of the lecturers were already wary of the “fight.”
